The due date for the Outline and Research Notes has been advanced one day, as we have spent more time on Clauses/Phrases and took a quiz on Friday. We will be working in the library next week. The computer lab or library will be open for students to work on their paper and print documents as needed.

Come after school to H20 for help or extra time on lab computers from 3:15 to 5:00 on Thursday and Friday, February 8-9.  Outlines and Notes are due Monday, February 13th. They will need to be printed or the student needs to arrange for time in class, or before or after school to have their notes and outline reviewed and scored.

As of 2/1/12 the following changes/clarifications have been made to the research assignment:
1. Students must cite (refer to) three different sources within the body of their research and have a total of 5 citations within their report.
2. The students must consult 5 sources and list these 5 sources in on their works cited list which is the last page of the report.
3. The students do not have to have 3 different sources. All sources can be from the internet. However, three different kinds of internet sources should be utilized. For example, one can use an encyclopedia, professional article, magazine article (Time magazine), primary source or newspaper article found via the internet. Of course other resources excluding internet sources are available, and the students are highly encouraged to find these types of resources as well and their local libraries or other locations: books, periodicals, video media source, interview of a professional etc.
